Position Overview
As a Backend Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Node.js. You will play a key role in building scalable, secure, and efficient server-side applications that power our digital products and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and optimize backend systems using Node.js
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
• Manage and integrate databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL) for efficient data handling
• Debug, test, and resolve performance bottlenecks
• Collaborate with front-end developers, QA engineers, and other team members
• Ensure high standards of security, scalability, and performance
Requirements
• 3–4 years of professional Node.js development experience
• Strong command of JavaScript and the Node.js ecosystem
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and microservices
• Proficiency with databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
• Knowledge of server-side architecture and distributed systems
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
Work Details
• Shift: Day (9 AM – 6 PM, Monday to Saturday)
• Location: On-site (PECHS Karachi)
• Experience building scalable backend systems
• Proven track record of optimizing server performance
• Demonstrable portfolio of Node.js projects
• Contributions to open-source projects (a plus)
